Route Sections

From here, you can select one of the six sections of the virtual St Magnus Way. Clicking on a section will take you to a map of the locations on the section. To start the section, right click on the 'Start This Section' button which will take you to the first location (or waypoint) in the section. If you have visited the virtual section before, you will be able to continue from where you left off.

When you have started the section, you will see a range of things to view at the location such as slow time walking, videos aerial videos, 360 degree panoramas, photos, audio descriptions of features and history, and some documents to read.

You may have to scroll down with the slider on the right side of the page to view items out of sight at the bottom of the page. When you have finished viewing the choices available, click on the 'Next Location' at the bottom of the page.

When you are ready, sit back with your beverage of choice, relax, and immerse yourself with the sights, sounds and history of the Orkney countryside as you vitually walk along the St Magnus Way.
